As Chef Ris has seen how much Perry knows and loves his craft, it was no surprise to find out Perry has recently been named the nation's best cheesemonger after winning first place at the 2014 Cheesemonger Invitational held in San Francisco in January. The testing rounds included lengthy multiple choice tests, a blind taste test, cutting, pairing with foods, wrapping, selling and sign making.
